Well, it’s that time of year. The holidays are here and filled with family, friends, food and entertaining. This year I did a fundraiser presentation for our local elementary school on how to created beautiful succulent pumpkins in hopes they could be used through out October and November as decoration and part of your tablescapes for Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🌿🍃

Supplies needed for succulent pumpkins:
Pumpkin
Different varieties of succulents
Glue gun
Different varieties of moss
Different varieties seasonal toppers
First you select your pumpkin.

Select a variety of succulents, the night before snip the succulents and place them in a basket so the stems will harden over night.

Next choose a variety of mosses and seasonal toppings.

Finally, it’s time to hot glue. Start with the moss, add succulents and then the toppings. I like to lay mine out first and then glue. You can always fill in gaps with moss or additional succulents.

Our succulent pumpkins lasted until Thanksgiving. The succulents start to root into the pumpkin and thrive. The ultimate organic arrangement.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 from my family to yours 🍽
